The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have formed an alliance to provide training that will target rough-terrain forklifts, including tele-handlers and straight-mast forklifts. The training will focus on potential operating hazards, such as ground conditions, machine mobility, overload-rning, and the use of these machines for lifting personnel. The overall intent of the alliance is to reduce workplace hazards for operators and other jobsite workers. Materials developed as a result of the alliance will be made available in multiple languages, including Spanish.
