Beginning summer of 2009, Morbark's Model 3800 and 4600XL horizontal grinder will be able to produce chips in addition to mulch thanks to the company's new Quick-Conversion Kit. The 3800 and 4600XL grinders can be converted to grind chips in less than four hours, according to Morbark, as the conversion requires neither a crane norrntne removal of the entire hammermill. Chips produced are between 5/8 to 3/4 inch, depending on the feed rates.
