JCB Starts New Range of Excavators With the 220X

JCB has introduced the 220X crawler excavator, the first of the company's new X Series range. Main features include central main boom mounting, a 15 percent larger cab with integral ROPS structure, and an all-new "command pod" featuring ergonomi-cally designed switches and controls, with intuitive user interface. The 220X cab is a completely new design. In addition to the larger size and integral ROPS frame, new cab mounts improve isolation and work together with flat glazing to contribute to a 68 dB(A) interior noise rating.
