Mechanism, structural causation and debarment of photofading of dyes

摘要

The mechanism of photofading of dyes, including oxidation and reduction process with representative reaction pathways is discussed. Both qualitative and quantitative methods, which involves quantum chemical calculation, are brought forward to probe into structural causations of photofading. Meanwhile, attentions are also paid to improvements of light fastness of dyes by means of additives or new design.
