Developments in textile dyestuffs

During the period under review there are very few developments, which have taken place in the dyestuff market for textile applications, although inventions are taking place in the highly specialised areas. Remazol Carbon RCB is an intense reactive dye by DyStar, which has excellent building-up properties and it can produce especially economic black dyeings. Compared with conventional black dyes, very low amounts of this dyestuff can produce deep black shades. The dye is also easily washed off and meets highest possible requirements as far as wet and chlorine-fastness are concerned. It is extremely suitable for dyeing cellulosic fibres and their blends by the exhaust and pad-dry-pad-steam process. Reserve dyeing on polyamide is very good. The shade is said to remain constant even with various light sources. The dye possesses further advantage such as development of an attractive on-tone fading under the effect of light or perspiration. Remazol Carbon RGB has only a slight tendency towards bronzing.
