摘要

Cooling of water by the method of vacuum-evaporative action in combination with connective movement of air in a counter flow is examined. A comparison is made with the method of cooling water in a mechanical-draft tower. Advantages of the cooling method described are revealed. A schematic diagram and the operating principle of the apparatus are presented. An analytical mode for calculation of the limiting value of the end temperature of the water under specific conditions of the process is outlined. Results of calculations and experiments are presented in graphic form.
