A key to Trump's political success, this economist argues, has been his pro-worker "masquerade," including his anti-globalization rhetoric. But his true economic interests are much different. Trump will strongly criticize globalization, but the bark will be worse than the bite because globalization has increased corporate profits. Trump also opportunistically expresses a neocon unilateralist vision, which has important implications for international relations.
