When two worlds collide: the ethics of enabling better home-work balance

Based on the prize-winning postgraduate essay in the IBE/EBEN-UK student competition in Business Ethics 2004, this paper argues that successful work-home strategies will be based upon nothing less than a new partnership between the firm and its employees, one that is based upon mutual give-and-take. Both employees and employers can help empower each other shape and influence the new corporate landscape if both accept multiple approaches and a deeper understanding of the complex selves we are.
