Die BOOTSTRAP-Methode zur Bewertung und Verbesserung der Software-Entwicklung

Nach einer kurzen Einführung in die Konzepte zur Bewertung von Software-Entwicklungsprozessen wird das BOOTSTRAP-Verfahren vorgestellt. Seine wichtigsten Merkmale wie z.B. der Ablauf von Assessments werden beschrieben. Über Erfahrungen bei Assessments von über 40 Organisationen und 140 Projekten wird berichtet, wobei sich BOOTSTRAP als ein effizi- enter und effektiver Ansatz sowohl zur Standortsbestimmung als auch zur Einleitung gezielter Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Qualität von Software-Entwicklungsprozessen erwiesen hat und deshalb vom Markt positiv aufgenommen wurde. Auf zukünftige Entwicklungen wie das SPICE-Projekt (ISO/ IEC) zur Harmonisierung existierender Assessment-Verfahren wird hingewiesen.%After a brief introduction into the concepts for the assessment of software development organizations the BOOTSTRAP method is presented. Features such as the rating mechanism and the conduct of assessments are described. Experiences made during the assessment of over 40 organisations and 140 projects are reported. BOOT- STRAP proved to be an efficient and effective instrument to assess the current development practice and also to initiate appropriate actions aimed at the improvement of software process quality. Finally, future developments, especially the ongoing SPICE project of ISO/IEC to harmonise existing assessment approaches, are addressed.
