Indoor Air Quality and Occupant Comfort are two important factors to consider with any HVAC system design, especially green building designs. One way to decrease the likelihood of indoor air quality issues such as mold growth and condensation, while improving occupant comfort, is with uniform humidity and temperature control. However, controlling both temperature and humidity can be very energy intensive. The D-PAC system has been engineered to control the temperature and humidity of a space, in the most energy efficient manner possible, during full and part load operation. It uses a Digital Scroll compressor, return air bypass, the modulating humidity control option, andapatented sequence of operation. Available in a packaged unit size, a D-PAC system can control both temperature and humidity as accurately and efficiently as a chilled water/hot water system at fraction of the cost.
