2 Receive AHRI's Highest Honor

The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) presented its highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, to Ronald Massa and David Lewis at its recent spring meeting here. The meeting was the first official meeting of AHRI, which was created by the merger of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAM A). Massa was recognized for his work with GAMA's water heater division. He also served nine years on GAMA's board of directors and as the 2003-04 chairman. He recently retired from A.O. Smith Company, where he was executive vice president, corporate technology and global supply chain. Lewis chaired product section committees for GAM A and ARI. He also was active in government affairs for both organizations, and chaired ARI's Responsible Use Task Force, which focused on finding ways to protect the use of HFC refrigerants. Lewis recently retired from Lennox International, where he served as vice president, public affairs.
