The new building is the first thing you see when you arrive at Borgarsyssel Museum, the cultural heritage museum in Sarpsborg. The handmade tiles on the fagades and roofs of Olav hall make it immediately apparent that, in terms of both form and materials, the new building is at once modern and yet fits in with the surrounding wooden houses that have been part of the town's open-air museum since 1921.
