Everyday Life: Signs of Awareness is the name of the major exhibition that opened in August at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa. Staged to celebrate the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Denmark, this is the first major craft and design exhibition at the famous circular art museum designed by SANAA. Curator Cecilie Manz, who was nominated for the role by the Danish Arts Foundation, worked closely with in-house curator Hiromi Kurosawa and Kenya Hara, one of the founders of the home and lifestyle retailer Muji.
