A HYBRID PRACTICE MODEL: EXPERT DIFFERENTIATION

It is well known that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift in architecture, one that is radically altering the tools that we employ to communicate information about form and space in the design process. Plan, section, elevation - our primary visual notations for representing architecture for the past half-millennium - have been augmented by 3D animation, scripts, algorithms and building information models.These latter procedures inextricably connect precise geometry, contextual input, material constraints, fabrication logics and construction within architecture for the first time.
