Abstract Is there a value in people's relationships with iconic buildings? Cristina Garduño Freeman argues there is – and that these social relationships can be identified and evaluated via digital ethnography. She illustrates her thesis using the Sydney Opera House and demonstrates how its ‘iconomy’ is a valuable social and economic asset.
