Charter membership into the Long Beach (Calif.) Water Department's Partnership for Safe Water (PSW) Distribution System Optimization Program ends Mar. 31, 2011. The objective of the PSW optimization program is to identify opportunities for improvement in system operations and to empower system operators with knowledge to recognize and apply procedures that result in water quality and system reliability improvements.
