Regulations, as a result of continually advancing technology, are dynamic in nature, evolving as our understanding of water science deepens. This is a necessary progression in order for us to remain defenders of the public health. Nitrate, lead, perchlorate, fluoride, and chromium VI are all getting renewed attention as more information has become available and their potential health effects have become better understood.
