New Canteen for Zephyrhills AMVETS

On Dec. 7, 2010, AMVETS Post 550 in Zephyrhills, Fla., opened the doors to a new post home on Airport Road. Cliff McDuffie, mayor of Zephyrhills joined the AMVETS for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new home, alongside hundreds of visitors and AMVETS leaders from across the state. Five different bands provided entertainment throughout the day. Post 550 made enhancements to the old Zephyr Palms Events Center before taking up residence in the new post home late last year.
