Thank you to every member for helping make AMVETS a top leader in our nations service organizations. When you are speaking with a potential member converse with a great deal of pride and energy in your voice. Give details about our membership obligation to not only veterans, but those now serving, and the Guard and Reserve. Share with them information about our excellent service officers, exceptional programs, fine legislative plan, great community service projects, and super support groups like the Ladies Auxiliary, Sons of AMVETS and AMVETS Riders, as well as our Junior AMVETS programs. When you do recruit a new member take the time to do the little things that make one feel they've joined something special. Greet them with enthusiasm, introduce them to members, and engage in causal conservation. Make them feel at home.
