Letter from the (new) editor

When I found out I was going to take over as editor of American Veteran Magazine, I had mixed emotions. My first thoughts were a jumble of elation, hope and a bit of anxiety. I was elated at the opportunity to employ my years of experience in journalism and public relations in a new, broader capacity; I was hopeful that as editor I could finally live my fantasy of becoming a Marine Corps drill instructor, but that was quickly dashed to pieces once I learned there was but a staff of three (including me); And lastly, I felt anxious about whether I could fill the giant shoes Ryan Gallucci left behind.
