Making Great Strides

I hope you have all been using the opportunity to help shape the 112th congress, as I have been stressing in our past few issues. As I mentioned in our last edition, the house has had a huge turnover in members and the new members are actively seeking out guidance on what legislation they should be introducing. This is a rare opportunity and I urge you all to seize it and contact your representatives right now and let your voice be heard We must seize this opportunity to actively push AMVETS resolutions and goals. As always, AMVETS National Legislative department will continue to be your voice on Capitol Hill and to this nation's leadership; however if we all work together we stand to bring about change and betterment at a much quicker pace. I have heard from many of AMVETS members since our last issues, and the success being accomplished by those of you who have sought out your members of congress is amazing. These stories of success further illustrate how important it is to seize the opportunities you have in front of you with the 112th congress.
