Airlines Expect Airbus to Miss A380 Production Target for 2009

A poll of airline customers for the Airbus A380 conducted by the Bloomberg news service indicated that the customers expect Airbus to fail to fulfill its promise to deliver 18 of the super-jumbo airliners in 2009. Instead, customers indicated that the European plane maker will deliver only 15 aircraft. The goal of 18 aircraft delivered is lower than the 21 aircraft the manufacturer had previously said it would deliver during the year.
