Representing a Nursing Knowledge Base for a Decision Support System in Prolog

This paper describes the initial steps in the process of representing a nursing knowledge base in the logic programming language Prolog and provides examples of the work to date. This includes a description of the major knowledge domains and depictions of the relationships within and among them. Natural language text, graphical illustrations, and Prolog statements are used to show how the knowledge base is being represented.
