文化间性理论进展及其对旅游研究的启示

         

摘要

在文化全球化进程中,文化间性理论是思考文化多样性的一种范式和调适文化差异的智慧和策略.文章在评介文化间性理论基础上认为:文化间性理论对旅游研究的有益启示是应用文化间性的智慧、策略和方法治理旅游地文化多样性,辩证看待和处理旅游中的文化差异,倡导旅游中互惠理解和平等交往,在相互尊重基础之上寻求文化间认同的文化间旅游新范式;在文化间性IC-UIRI理论框架之上可以建构文化间旅游的T-IC-UIRI理论模型.文化间性理论拓展了文化间关系研究新维度,能够开拓旅游研究新视角,扩展旅游研究和实践的更广阔视野和实验场地.%In the process of cultural Globalization,Intercultural theory is a new paradigm for thinking about cultural diversity and the wisdom and strategy to deal with cultural differences. Interculturality regard cultural diversity as a cultural resource,effort to promote Intercultural understanding,pursuit the Intercultural dialogue on the basis of reciprocal understanding and communication,as well as facilitate mutual respect and Intercultural identity.Intercultural understanding is the basis of Interculturality,and Intercultural exchange is the way to achieve Interculturality.Mutual respect is the necessary guarantee for Intercultural understanding and communication,and the equal communication has strengthened the understanding of self-culture and the culture of the others,Intercultural identity not only shows respect and acceptance of the underprivileged culture,while answering the question of how to calmly deal with the major issues of dialogue between the weak culture and the powerful culture,all the more so a co-development process to agglomerate different cultural characteristics. Interculturality is not only a cultural theory,but also a cultural and political attitude,the basis of ethical practice and social action. Based on the review of Intercultural theory,this paper discover that: Intercultural theory and its implications for tourism research is that applying the wisdom,strategy and method of Interculturality to control the cultural diversity on tourist destination, with dialectical view to deal with cultural differences in tourism,promote mutual understanding and equal exchanges tourism,construct a new paradigm of Intercultural tourism(ICT)that seeks Intercultural identity on the basis of mutual respect. Intercultural theory dialectically views and deals with cultural differences in tourism,On the one hand, cultural differences are motivating factors that contribute to tourism motivations, On the other hand, cultural differences are barriers to tourism behavior that restrict tourism experience. So Intercultural tourism needs to deal with the Intercultural paradox that how to ensure the attractiveness of cultural differences, while eliminating cultural barriers caused by cultural differences. Intercultural theory advocates reciprocal Intercultural understanding in tourism, Intercultural understanding is the recognition and acceptance of cultural diversity and uniqueness between the hosts and the guests, as well as the understanding the cultural diversity of material, spiritual, institutional culture and so on. Appreciate the differences between hosts and the guests to eliminate cultural misunderstanding or cultural shock,discover the relevance of hosts and the guests to avoid cultural bias and discrimination. Intercultural theory advocates equal Intercultural exchanges in tourism, Tourism is in the context of Intercultural encounters, developed on the action line of Intercultural contact, communication, exchange and adaptation, Intercultural interaction is for the purpose of achieve from the tourist gaze (TG) to Intercultural tourism dialogue (ICTD). Intercultural theory advocates mutual Intercultural respect in tourism, tourists are the respect messengers. People of different cultural backgrounds go closer because of face-to-face contact, dissolve cultural distance to promote respect and tolerance among different cultures. Intercultural theory advocates Intercultural identity in tourism, Intercultural identity is the Intercultural consensus experience of perception and experience of multi-cultural tourism, Intercultural differences and identity organic combination of local strong attraction and core competitiveness,as well as Intercultural collaboration to promote tourism development strategies.The Intercultural theory had expanded the new dimensions to explore new perspectives of tourism research, and to expand the wider field of vision and experimental sites of tourism research and practice.
