Through practical examples, the paper concludes main designing methods for Japan's architecture to inherit traditional image, it an-alyzes that the present Japan architecture inherit and develop their traditional culture and oonstruetional technique, it also analyzes relationship between tradition and present, on this basis, it points out the designing mistakes of present architecture in China and improvingmeasures for them.%通过实例归纳了日本建筑在继承传统意象的主要设计手法,剖析了日本现代建筑对其传统文化与建筑工艺的传承与发扬,并分析了传统与现代的关系问题,在此基础上指出中国当前建筑设计的误区及改进措施.
