介绍了BS5400－4：1990规范中，大偏心受压短柱极限承载能力的计算方法，并对其进行了合理的简化，在满足工程精度要求的同时，使计算更加便捷，值得进一步推广。%This paper introduced in the BS 5400-4：1990 specification, the calculation methods of ultimate bearing capacity of large eccentric compression short columns, and carried reasonable simplification to it, satisfied the requirement of engineering precision, at the same time, make the calculation more convenient, it was worth popularizing.
