The paper indicates the concept of the instability of steel structure,analyzes the types for the instability of the steel structure,introduces the principle for the stable design of the steel structure,points out the stability calculation of the structural components should be consistent with the detailed structures,and the stability of the general and detailed parts should be considered in the general allocation,so as to provide the direction for the stable design of the steel structure.%阐述了钢结构失稳的概念,对钢结构失稳的类型进行了分析,简单介绍了钢结构稳定设计的原则,指出钢结构构件的稳定计算应和细部构造相一致,应在整体布置时考虑到整体和各组成部分的稳定性,为钢结构的稳定设计提供了指导。
