The paper surveys the development in Taiyuan,and explores the main contents for the urban construction in Taiyuan from the innova-tion,freen,wisdom,humanity,residence and featured industries,so as to promote the level of urban planninf construction manafement,opti-mize the industrial structures and promote the urban development quality in all aspects.%综述了太原市的发展状况，围绕创新、绿色、智慧、人文、人居、特色产业六大要素，探讨了太原市城镇建设的重点内容，旨在提高城镇规划建设管理水平，进一步优化产业结构，全方位提升城镇发展质量。
