Red-based recombineering is developing rapidly and has been widely used in Escherichia coli genome modification, such as single base substitutions, deletions and insertions. In this article we reviewed the progress in the Red-recombination mechanism and the application strategies of Red-based recombineering. The application of the techniques was shown, including construction of a reduced -genome E.coli, optimization of multi -genes metabolism pathway and so on.%Red同源重组技术发展迅速,已广泛应用于大肠杆菌基因组修饰,在点突变、基因敲除、序列整合等方面发挥着重要作用.简要综述了Red同源重组的重组机制和操作策略等研究进展,并介绍了Red同源重组在大肠杆菌基因组减小及多基因代谢途径优化方面的应用情况.
