基于红外偏振的特征提取与小目标检测方法

         

摘要

To solve the problem of clutter interference in infrared target detection,a novel method of feature extraction and small target detection based on the infrared polarization information is proposed.Firstly,according to the differ-ences of polarization characteristics of artificial target and natural background,a model of infrared polarization informa-tion of targets and the background is established.The components of intensity and polarization information are analyzed as well as the extraction and enhancement of the target polarization information.Then,the three theories of the stokes vector,partially polarized light decomposition and variable polarization are combined to extract target polarization fea-ture,suppress background clutter and eliminate random noise,thus achieve detection of infrared small tar-get.Experimental results on simulated data and comparisons with three existed methods demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed method,which can be used against infrared camouflage concealment or infrared decoy technology,and has great application value.%针对红外目标探测所面临的杂波干扰问题,提出了一种基于红外偏振的特征提取与小目标检测方法。首先,利用人工目标和自然背景偏振特性的差异,建立了目标与背景的红外偏振信息模型,分析了其中强度信息和偏振信息的构成以及目标偏振信息的提取与增强办法。然后,将斯托克斯矢量、部分偏振光分解、变偏振理论相结合实现了目标偏振特征的提取与背景杂波抑制及随机噪声消除,进而实现了红外小目标的检测。仿真数据实验结果及与现有方法的对比证明了该方法的有效性和可靠性。该方法可用于对抗红外伪装隐身及红外诱饵技术,提升红外目标的探测能力,富有应用价值。
