Three mangroves of Kandelia candel, Aegicems comiculatum and Sonneratia apetala were tesed to artificial afforestation in Southern Zhejiang province. The effects of intertidal position on plant growth resulted that the three mangroves had the highest survival rate in middle intertidal position. The survival rate was higher in high intertidal position than low one for K. Candel and 5. Apetala, and for A. Comiculatum opposite. The values of the physiological parameters of superoxide dismutase activity (SOD), proline content (PRO) and relative electrolyte conductance (RE) decreased first and then increased for K. Candel, while increased gradually for S. Apetala, with decreased intertidal position. With respect to A. Comiculatum, PRO decreased first and then increased, and SOD decreased gradually with decreased intertidal position. The value of adaptation (adp) of K. Candel and A. Comiculatum decreased. -0.8204 and -0.7050 for K. Candel and A. Comiculatum, respectively, but increased for S. Apetala (adP = 0.479S) in high intertidal position compared to the adp, value in middle intertidal position (adp = 0). The adp values of K. Candel (a展开▼
