The conception of nested plot is introduced. Assuring that the plot has no edge effect, mathematical models of total amount of resources, density, mean and variance are established. Based on the control method, a single naturally regenerated plot (10 m×10 m) was set in the systematic plot in the fourth small section of I section, and a regeneration survey was carried out. The number of natural regeneration plants in the study area was estimated by the established mathematical models. Result showed that the unbiased estimates of spruce, fir, and other tree species as well as the total regeneration number of seedlings and saplings were 420, 2251, 4 501, 7 178 individuals per hectare respectively, which can provide a quantitative reference for the sustainable management of natural forests.%阐述了嵌套样地概念,在假定样地无边缘效应的基础上,系统梳理了嵌套样地抽样的资源总量、密度、均值以及方差的估计数学模型.在检查法Ⅰ大区4小区的系统样地内嵌套布设单个天然更新小样地(10 m×10m),并进行幼苗幼树更新调查.对研究区域的天然更新株数进行统计估计,其结果为:区域内云杉、冷杉、其它树种及总体幼苗幼树更新公顷株数无偏估计分别为420、2251、4501、7 178株·hm-2,从而为天然林可持续经营提供数量化参考.
