Stanniocalcin ( stanniocalcin, STC )is a glycoprotein hormone that was firstly identified in bony fish. The hormone is a secretary product of the Corpuscles of stannius, an endocrine gland unique to bony fish. In recent years,stanniocalcin is also identified in human and mammals, there are STC - 1 and STC -2.
