PGG has shown to have in vitro inhibitory effects on the growth and/or invasion of some cancer.Mechanistic studies u-sing cell culture indicated the involvement of pro-apoptosis,anti-proliferation,anti-angiogenesis,anti-metast-asis and inhibition of P-glycoprotein,as well as other organ-specific pathways.In this review,we show the inhibito-ry effects PGG have on cancers,and discuss its application prospect in anti-tumor.
