Antimicrobial peptides(AMPs),which is mainly synthesized and released by epithelial cells,macropha-ges and neutrophils,is a class of innate immune effector active peptides with antibacterial activity.LL-37 was hydro-lyzed by restriction endonuclease hCAP-18,which was named due to the first two amino acid residues at the N-ter-minus as leucine(L)and the total number of amino acid residues.Recent studies had shown that,LL-37 is not only the antibacterial activity,but also regulating immune function,chemotaxis and stimulating angiogenesis and other func-tions.Meanwhile,it is closely related to malignancies,colorectal cancer(CRC)to be included.But it has different biolog-ical activities in various tumor cell types.This study reviews the biological characteristics of LL-37,especially in CRC.%抗菌肽(antimicrobial peptides,AMPs)是一类具有抗菌活性的先天免疫效应分子活性肽.其主要由上皮细胞、巨噬细胞和嗜中性粒细胞合成和释放.LL-37是一个在内外源刺激下,由前体肽原hCAP-18水解释放,因其N端前两个氨基酸残基为亮氨酸(L)和氨基酸残基总数为37而得名.近年研究表明,LL-37除具抗菌活性外,还具有调节免疫功能、趋化作用和刺激血管生成等功能.同时,与包含结直肠癌(colo-rectal cancer,CRC)在内的恶性肿瘤密切相关,但是在各种肿瘤细胞类型上具有不同的生物学活性.本文就LL-37的生物学特性,特别是在CRC中的作用进行综述.
