Mao Zedong devoted himself to the improvement of Chinese people's livelihood. He proposed the basic purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, which provide the ideological support to the livelihood of the people. In fact, Mao Zedong established political premise, system base and ideological guarantee of improving livelihood of the people. He stressed to accelerate economic development to improve people's livelihood, attached importance to cultural construction in order to enrich people's spiritual life, and closely relied on the people and took the masses interests as the fundamental.
