As Mao Ze-dong proposed, the first school specialized in training women cadres under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, the Women's University of China, was established to meet the demands of the Anti-Japanese War and women's movement. This university was unique in its goals and model of running education. It trained a large number of women cadres, pushed forward women's movement, and increased societal attention to the cause of women. The glorious tradition and the commendable experience of this university have provided an important example for training today's women cadres.%为了适应抗战及妇女运动发展的新形势,经毛泽东倡导,中国女子大学在延安成立,成为中国共产党领导下第一所专门培训妇女干部的学校。
