By taking D-100/8-e3 reciprocating piston type of air compressor as the actual exam-ple, this paper discussed its automatic frequency conversion control technical renovation method, as well as the actual energy saving and cost reducing results.%该文以冶金工业中普遍使用的D-100/8-e3型往复活塞式空压机为实例，论述了往复活塞式空压机的自动化变频控制技改方法，以及实施变频控制技改技术后，所达到的显著节能降耗效果。
