机构新闻翻译情境下情态选择的编译改动与意识形态的转换

摘要

Modality is intrinsically ideological. Addition or deletion of modal expressions and their changes in orientation and value typically lead to different news narration and in turn result in the construction or deconstruction of specific ideology and national identity in the news. This article is to observe the relationship between changes in modality and transformations in ideology based on the bilingual data on The South China Sea. First, a value table of Chinese modal expressions is created ; Second, types of changes in modality from ST to TT are recognized and categorized, and then analyzed and interpreted from the angle of cognition. Analysis shows changes in modality typically reveal specific attitudes and opinions on the part of the translation agency.%情态系统具有丰富的意识形态潜势,情态增删、取向改动以及值改动等,往往影响到具体的新闻叙事,从而影响到新闻中特定意识形态与国家身份的建构或解构.本文运用为期一年的新闻编译语料,聚焦新闻价值极高的南海问题报道,考察机构情境下情态系统编译改动与意识形态转换之间的关系.本文首先建构出汉语的情态量值表;其次,对原、译文情态选择差异进行识别和归类,并从认知角度进行了分析和解释.分析和解释指出,情态的编译改动往往明确反映了所在翻译机构的态度和观点.
