将BBC《美丽中国》引入大学英语翻译教学中的尝试

摘要

2013年大学英语四六级进行改革,其中翻译测试已由原来的句子翻译变成段落翻译,且段落翻译内容以有中国特色的民俗文化为主,这意味着学生的翻译能力有待全方位提高,尤其是其文化翻译能力.基于这种背景,提出将BBC《美丽中国》纪录片字幕作为翻译练习材料引入大学英语课堂,采取以学生为中心的翻译教学,旨在帮助学生建立正确的翻译观、传授基本的翻译技巧和知识、积累中国历史、文化、经济和社会发展等领域的知识和词汇,通过有针对性的翻译实践,在提高学生翻译能力的同时,提高学生适应四六级翻译新题型的能力.%Since College English band 4 and band 6 test reform in 2013, translation test changes from sentence translation into paragraph translation featuring folk cultures. It means that we should ensure overall improvement in students'ability of translation, especially the culture translation ability. In view of this, the paper proposes introducing BBC Wild China into College English class aiming at cultivating the students' view of translation, improving their basic skills and techniques, accumulating their knowledge and vocabulary, ultimately enhancing their overall abilities.
