The meaning of improving the cultural competence of nursing interns are; improve their comprehensive quality and establish an ethical patient - nurse relationship; guide the culture construction and face the pluralistic culture trend; improve the overall nursing effect. Improving their cultural competence can help to combine their work with the cultural background of the patients and provide multi - level comprehensive care services to the patients, also will promote the nursing to a new high level. This article discuss the meaning of improving the cultural competence and current condition based on metaethics, normative ethics and virtue ethics.
