Camp ylobacter jejuni is a food borne bacterial pathogen. It can produce cytolethal distending toxin, which has cell toxicity and can block the cell cycle at the G2/M boundary. Affected cells enlarge until they finally undergo pro grammed cell death. The toxin is composed of three subunits designated CdtA, CdtB and CdtC.
