A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains is a silk scroll painting which is hard to preserve. The color of azurite and mineral green on the painting is rich. After nearly a thousand years, it is so fragile that it may be spalled by opening the painting. That is why the painting has seldom been shown to the public. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the painting has been on display for just three times.
