Recently, the State Council of China released "The 12th Five-Year Program" for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction in which the primary emission reduction factors that involves textile industry requires: chemical oxygen demand (COD) discharge amount in printing and dyeing industry shall be reduced to 269,000 tons in 2015 from 299,000 tons of 2010, down by 10%; ammonian discharge amount in that industry shall be cut to 175,000 tons in 2015 from 199,000 tons of 2010, down bv 12%.
