Background and purpose: Malignant solid tumor is an increasingly major cause of death among children as congenital abnormalities and infectious diseases decrease. The study of pediatric malignant tumor attracted increasing attention. The expressions and significance of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Ki67, Bcl-2 and Bax were investigated in pediatric malignant solid tumors. Methods: The expression of VEGF, Ki67, Bcl-2 and Bax protein was determined in 69 cases of pediatric malignant solid tumors by immunohistochemistry. The expression of VEGF mRNA and Bcl-2 mRNA was detected by in situ hybridization. Results: The positive rates of VEGF, Ki67, Bcl-2 and Bax protein in malignant solid tumors were 58.0%, 69.6%, 69.6% and 30.9%, respectively. The positive rates of VEGF mRNA and Bcl-2 mRNA were all 82.0%. The expression had a significant difference when compared to the control (.P<0.05). The expressions of Ki67 and Bcl-2 were positively related with the expression of VEGF in children with malignant solid malignant tumors (PO.01). Conclusion: The expression of VEGF, Ki67, Bcl-2 and Bax was related to occurrence and development of solid tumors in children.%背景与目的:随着先天性畸形及感染性疾病死亡率的不断下降,恶性实体瘤逐渐成为儿童的主要死亡原因.本研究旨在探讨血管内皮生长因子(vascular endothelial growth factor,VEGF)、Ki-67、Bcl-2和Bax在小儿恶性实体瘤的表达及意义,以期为小儿恶性实体瘤的诊断及预后判断提供理论依据.方法:应用免疫组织化学方法检测69例小儿恶性实体瘤患者VEGF、Ki-67、Bcl-2和Bax的表达,并用原位杂交方法检测VEGF mRNA、Bcl-2 mRNA的表达.结果:VEGF、Ki-67、Bcl-2和Bax在小儿恶性实体瘤中表达率分别为58.0%、69.6%、69.6%和30.9%.Bcl-2 mRNA及VEGF mRNA在小儿恶性实体瘤的表达率均为82.0%.VEGF、Ki-67和Bcl-2在小儿恶性实体瘤中高表达,Bax表达较低,与正常组织相比,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).经相关分析显示,VEGF与Ki-67、Bcl-2呈显著正相关(P<0.01).结论:VEGF、Ki-67、Bcl-2和Bax与小儿恶性实体瘤的发生、发展密切相关,可为小儿恶性实体瘤的诊断及预测预后提供依据.
