A Sustainable Approach to Building Retrofits

The above case study illustrates how a whole building, integrated approach ensures the quality, value and high environmental performance of retrofits. It shows how Green Globes can build on an organization's existing tools and processes to establish a baseline, provide clear performance metrics, and a long term cyclical and lifecycle approach to continuous improvement. These elements are critical to achieving progress towards an organization's sustainable development commitments. PWGSC is currently piloting the use of Green Globe. They are also using other sustainable design, assist and assessment tools such as LEED and the Athena Environmental Impact Estimator. PWGSC is dedicated to using the appropriate tool for the task at hand.
