Polymer insulation has played a significant role in simplifying the design and construction of the most difficult transmission line ever completed in Queensland. By successfully overcoming unparalleled environmental constraints, pollution exposure and maintenance restrictions the line achieved national recognition in 1999 with an award for Excellence from the Institution of Engineers.
