When the City of Longmont, Colorado’s Water/Wastewater Department (Longmont)committed to developing a new strategic plan to guide their organization into the future, theypartnered with EMA and began the process with an assessment of the current organization,practices, and technologies. Longmont made a commitment to stabilize water rates for thesucceeding ten years. This project was essential to meeting the goal by reducing Utilities’operating costs through improvements in productivity and efficiency in day to day operationsin all areas of the Utilities.
