2012 UPDATE TO THE EPA GUIDELINES FOR WATER REUSE

This manuscript and associated special technical session was designed to continue the process ofupdating the 2004 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Guidelines for Water Reuse.The individual sessions are designed to walk the attendees through the updating process andtechnical issues that are being addressed in the update. Throughout the sessions there will beopportunities to ask questions and add input. The EPA Guidelines for Water Reuse managementteam strives to not only give updates on the progress of the project, but to also solicit input.The following topics will be addressed in the overall session:1. Needs and Guidelines Development Approach2. Regulatory and Water Quality Drivers3. Federal Agency Participation4. International Participation5. Treatment Technology Advances and ApplicationsThe final session will be a panel with the speakers listed above, in which there will be time foropen dialogue between panel members and attendees. The team will also provide the attendeeswith information on how to participate and stay involved in the progress of the project.
