Practical Perspectives on Pumping and Energy

摘要

This paper provides perspectives and guidance on wastewater pumping applications and theirassociated energy usage and power requirements. Fundamental energy principles areexamined together with operating features and practical constraints often associated withwastewater pumping facilities. Variation of flows, pump size combinations, adjustable speeddrives, wet well and reservoir operating levels, storage, forcemain sizing, valving, and otherconsiderations are discussed.
